FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know if the HawgHawler will fit between the tractor and trailer?
You need to have a minimum clearance of 63 inches from the back of the cab to the centerline of the fifth wheel, plus some clearance for air hoses and electrical connections. A 98" CT or more is no problem. Any less we have to get a little creative.
I have a sliding fifth wheel, how can I assure that everything clears?
A positive stop must be installed which prevents the fifth wheel from sliding too far forward.
What happens to my cab extenders?
Normally you would simply remove the cab extenders and brackets.
Will it rust?
All the structure is aluminum. The drive chains and sprockets are available in stainless steel. The standard configuration however uses a steel chain. It is basically the same chain that is on a motorcycle.
Is it difficult to operate?
No. You simply push the vehicle on the platform and secure it, and then the rest is all done hydraulically. It takes less than one minute.
How long does it take to get one?
There will be a normal wait of 3-7 business days, since the frame width and shape of the truck are required in order to build one.
How long does it take for installation?
It shouldn't take over one day, unless the frame is being lengthened. Installing the HAWGHAWLER only takes a couple hours, but steps, gratings and cab extenders may need to be removed.
Can one person operate it?
Yes. It is designed so that one person can EASILY push the motorcycle onto the platform, and the cycle is held upright while the tie downs are attached. There is no need for an additional person to stabilize the bike while it is being secured. After that, two switches control the whole thing. If you're big enough to ride it … You're big enough to load it.
How Much? and How can I get one?
$7665.00
